BuonaVita - The village of Curasci
Curasci is an tiny old village of wood-workers and farmers, situated at the end of the road 200m away from our house up on the hill. Currently most of the approximately 25 houses are used as summer residences and for holiday purposes. Only one family and one Swiss lady reside here year round. In middle of the village there is a little church used only at 10 August for Saint Lorenz, the patron of the village.
The name of the village is Curasci derives from the Italien word „curarsi“ meaning „heal yourself“. Many people have been coming here over the year to breath the good air and drink it´s healing water (the whole region is a spring water conservation area). We feel blessed to have found a place with this wonderful name.
